I am having the worst luck dealing with a vendor via ebay.ca
I placed an order for a few items of clothing from HolyClothing, an online store that sells clothes to women interested in a bit of a reniessance flair. I thought I would give E-Bay a shot and see how it goes.
I got a rather nasty email from HolyClothing saying that they will cancel my order forthwith unless I sent payment immediately. As I had used paypal and my paypal account showed that payment would be clearing this Monday, November 7 and I had the unique transaction number this would be enough to forestall the cancellation. I provided a screenshot of the payment confirmation to HolyClothing and I got a terse email saying that they will wait.
This morning I got an email from HolyClothing that they have opened up a non-payment file against me with E-Bay and that I will forthwith no longer be allowed to purchase their items in the E-Bay Store. This pissed me off to no end.
Hell hath no fury as an anal-retentive accountant who documents everything. Needless to say I got E-Bay to reverse this non-payment file against me and I have a file open against HolyClothing instead, for harrassment.
Needless to say, after this transaction goes through I will no longer deal with such a vendor again.

At least yours first mailed you. I just finished dealing with one who simply opened a non-payment dispute after a few days without even bothering to poke me first.

It pisses me off to no end. I asked E-Bay customer service how can a vendor get away with this. The CSR was worse than useless. It was up to me to try & resolve the dispute, they don’t get involved. If E-Bay doesn’t get involved why do they even bother having a CSR department.

This sounds like an e-bay/paypal issue. I’ve ordered direct from them at holycothing.com and they have been excellent to deal with. I get my order sooner than expected and my return and refund were processed quickly as well.

Sadly this wasn’t an ebay/paypal issue. I guess I was lucky enough to deal with someone who doesn’t read emails. I sent them multiple screenshots showing that I had made payment and even gave them the date as to when the payment would clear. At first they accept this, but then on the day the payment was to clear half an hour before it cleared they cancelled my order and filed a formal complaint with Ebay.
This isn’t the first time I’ve had problems with HolyClothing – I have ordered from them directly before. I know most people have a wonderful experience with them. But each time it’s been painful for me. Guess I’m one of the unsatisfied few. I just won’t be purchasing their product anymore, there are other makers of women’s clothing I can use. I like Torrid better anyways.
